Quality Management and Outcomes Team

Purpose
Recommendations by the team will provide direction for the collection of information relevant to desired outcomes, methods of measurement, and design of processes for continuous outcomes management across the department. The team will evaluate outcomes that support the provision of quality services and explore areas for improvement.
Values
Services are provided in accordance with clinical practice guidelines that are supported by evidence and knowledge of best practices. Valid and reliable outcome information is used by stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
The collection and presentation of outcome information includes a high regard to the confidential and sensitive nature of the information with which it is concerned. Outcome information is a vital component of Quality Management.
Method
- The department will provide a facilitator.
- The team will meet bi-monthly (opposite the Joint Committee on Information Continuity) with a pre-planned agenda.
- Minutes will record discussions and recommendations.
