Mission
Provide leadership in preventing disability, building resilience and facilitating recovery so that all Kentuckians will lead lives of dignity and hope in accordance with their personal and individual choices.
Vision
To be recognized as a leader and innovator in the development, administration and delivery of evidence-based services and supports that are individually focused and cost-efficient for individuals with behavioral health or substance abuse issues, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and brain injuries.

Goals
Assist in the modernization of Medicaid Services to increase the quality of benefit services.- Develop a DBHDID/Medicaid service delivery system that promotes evidence-based practices.
Promote resiliency, recovery, and inclusion in community living.- Increase accessibility to community support services for eligible individuals.
Empower Kentuckians regardless of disability or age to lead lives of dignity and hope in accordance with their individual choices.- Promote inclusion in community-based settings for individuals with disabilities.
