Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities
The service standards listed below are developed by the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) to guide the implementation and practice of services supported by DBHDID. The service standards should be followed by any provider implementing services supported by DBHDID.
Additional standards will be posted soon for services supported by DBHDID.
Each standard includes a variety of service components, such as the service definition, service locations, service limitations, admission criteria, service planning and documentation, assessments involved, provider qualifications, caseload size, supervisor requirements, continuing education requirements, supervision requirements, discharge criteria and licensed providers.
Within the service standards, the listing of units of service and services codes is not intended to determine, advocate, nor limit the billing codes allowed by managed care organizations or the Department for Medicaid Services.
